Default Le37a558

Dear friends,

This my first thread and hope there will be more in the future. I have a Samsung LE37A558. The picture is OK when switched on, however it gets darker with time. When the set is switched off and on again the picture appears and then fades off within a minute.

Thanks to all reading this thread.

It sounds like an LCD panel fault, but it could be a T-con board fault.

it seems to have a Samsung panel. very notorious one. best thing would be swapping another t-con into it, just to rule this out if the problem persist. may be also a tab issue.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest,

Some new developments on the same problem, when the set was left with a dark picture (by mistake it was so dark I thought it was off), I found a nice bright picture. The more I work on this LCD the more I feel as if starting the profession from scratch.

Regards

good for you. you should begin stripping it down if you have enough space. consider that you might have to leave it open for days during troubleshooting.
