Default Classified section improvements

problem: the section is littered with sold/bought threads. if you are looking for an item or need to find an item, it can be a bit of a pain trying to see if the person still has the item for sale or is still looking for the item.

idea 1:

the edit lockout on the classified threads should be overhauled if not tossed. why? 1. some people have massive closet clearing sales with lots of items. it would be very useful to be able to go back and remove /edit items as they are sold so people know what is and ain't there.

idea 2:

doesn't vbulletin have a prefix setting? i know of a lot of help forums based on vbulletin that use the prefixes for "solved" or as way to categorize the questions. I wonder if it could be used to add a "sold" or "bought" prefix to the thread (and make it editable indefinitely), speeding up the item searching process.

just a few things i happened to think about...

The prefix settings do include "For Sale" and "Sold". Another forum I belong to uses them in their Flea Market. I'll defer to Topcat on the implementation...

unfortunately the editing limit is a global setting, and I'm not disabling it. Had to many issues in the past with that.
