Looked everywhere and no luck....sorry. I did come across an electronics site that stated that the particular ic is pretty scarce. So that explains not finding the datasheet. Hope you have better luck than I did but I put about 2 hours into it to no avail.

Here is an e-mail response I received from Jameco Electronics.

Good afternoon.

Unfortunately, we do not carry or offer this CXA3809A IC. I have taken the liberty to find distributors and datasheets but no one carries the IC nor data sheets are available for this IC. Seems like this is an exclusive IC that SONY carries for their own devices. You may have to go direct to SONY to purchase and get the datasheet as well.

Thank you for your inquiry with Jameco Electronics.

Regards.

As a follow up ask for an email phone number at Sony.
Just figuring out where to go at Sony would be a nightmare all by itself.

I'm also assuming Sony would most likely (like most Electronics Manufacturers) tell VE that they do not sell their electronic components directly to customers.....been there, done that.
