NCP1200 PWM chip

Used in many power supplies, my question is really simple, I've seen somewhere in these forums that two of these chips are fully swappable between their versions (Specifically when talking of a dell monitor power supply 2405 and 2407WFPb)

I'm unable to know this (Due to my knowledge) but as far I can tell, they are not.

To the question, are these chips:

According to the data sheet page 13.
You need check the Freq. & package.
G for Green product (PB free)
The IC's marking will tell you what kind of part you need.

If you carefully read the NCP1200A datasheet, you see that there's 3 versions of this controller, which have a internal fixed frequency of 40, 60 and 100 kHz. Again, refering to the datasheet, a surface mount version would be stamped 200D6 for a 60 KHz controller. The important number you must refer to is the last number afer the "D", which indicates the fixed frequency. Therefore, you cannot swap a 200D4 for a 200D6. You will need to look at the actual number stamped on the chip itself to verify this number.
