How to perform panel test on Samsung UE70TU7020K
    by learnmore
    Hello Community,

As part of an ongoing learning project, I'm trying to perfrom a panel test (where, according to some, you jump 12v to the (Tcon) then jump 3.3V to panel test pin on the FPC connector). For the model I'm testing with, I'm unsure of where the test pin is located (providing there is one). So, I'm after some help to locate it. Here are some shots of the board (note mainboard, Tcon combo board)....

Hello, I have this laptop ThinkPad X250 that has this strange problem, when connected to the main power source, the fan spin once, keyboard lit up for like 2 secs then turns off, only power button remain with solid green light and the ThinkPad icon at the rear lit solid as well, I have tried everything, wiping, writing bioses that users here requested and were given as working for the exactly the specific model but nothing works, the strangest thing is that, even if I completely wipe the bios and blank check it to make sure it is wiped, the laptop still start as mentioned above, have anyone...

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
    by privato89
    Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

    Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
    by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

Hiopos - Cash Touch - Doesn't turn on
    by samstown
    Hello,

I have this Hiopos Cash system running on android that stopped working without notice. The power supply is ok, there's light on motherboard but when pressing power button it doesn't turn on.
I've google for schematics but no luck. Motherboard is S2802_V1.3B. I've took some measure and maybe it could be a transistor, the one I am pointing on with the orange arrow on the pics. Does anyone knows this board ?

    Thanks

The receiver is going into protect mode when switching inputs or enabling/disabling A or B speakers on the front panel. I removed the protect signal from the main microprocessor and the system played normally on FR and FL speakers from an analog input. I measured the protect signal and it's attached.

    Sony KD 49X8307C
    by Donny2derby
Hi again all. Picked the above model up a couple of days ago. Information was that it just stopped working all of a sudden. Was from a nice house with no kids or pets and no reason to think it's suffered impact damage.

Working my way through it. I get a flashing silver light on the front which indicates an attempt to start?? Then it turns off and doesn't attempt to reboot.

Had the back panel off and with the plugs disconnected to the backlights, on the connectors I'm getting 63v DC on CN 6801 and 4.0v DC on all pins on CN 6802. All except the not connected ones I should...

Vaillant 242 Gas Water heater. Shortcut in board anc compatibility with model 282
    by edugimeno
    Hi!!
Yesterday I was installing a new Wifi thermostat for my domestic gas water heater model Vaillant 242/2-3, and accidentlly one wire from mains touched one wire from the thermostat output contacts. This shut off the heater so I finished installing the thermostat and then went out to check the heater

I found one fuse blown (T2 250V). Replaced it with another equivalent fuse and it blew right away. I measured L-N in mains input and I sometimes got 4K but sometimes, not sure why, I got 100 Ohm...
At a certain point, moving stuff around, I put all wires back in place and...
