I had one of them bought for fun (counterfeit "YXA" series, used for testing only). The printing on these are low quality, blurry on the edges (while real ones have sharp defined edges). The "k" part looks a bit like "b". Of course, those familiar with real Rubycons will straight away notice the differences...Seen them before too, they are Rubycon imitators, like the infamous 'Rulycon'

May try it in a cheap multimedia speaker system (where usually the main capacitor is also made in China one), when I have the time (kinda busy nowadays, too many repair jobs came in)...

That was an unused Rubycon CE-W and was pretty old (leftover from many years back, didn't get the opportunity to use that last one and was put in cold storage). Nowadays for those sizes and capacitance, mostly using Nichicons and Panasonics...

What we have here today is an Intel DG33FB motherboard, circa 2007... I need to replace some of the caps on this board... From what I have found, one of these caps was sort of well known here back in the day as they were used in XBoxes and XBox 360s as well....They are the Rubycon MFZ series, in particular the 6.3 v 3300uf 10mm X 20mm... I have found a seller on Amazon, The Capacitor Store, that has them listed but I have a hard time believing these are genuine pieces... The original recommendation was to replace any bad ones with Nichicon HZ series since the Rubycon MFZ's were a custom product,... -
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.

Hello, I'm working on an old Dell XPS410 with burst capacitors. I'm trying to source either an equivalent replacement, or a replacement that will work. It's been suggested to me to use Poly caps as a replacement, but I have no idea what to order or what will work.
If anyone has a link to where I can buy what I need that would be even better.

Hi,
I was hoping to get some help in identifying a replacement capacitor for a PET Rubycon A0817 6.3V 1000uF rated for 105C temp, MBZ series.
This is to replace one bad capacitor on a DELL 530 motherboard DG33M03 (manufactured by Foxconn, DELL part # FM586).
