Which manufacturer is this?

Anyone knows which manufacturer this is? There is no name on the body, just an oval logo with an oval cutout. Series include RD, RG and RK. Dark brown body with white lettering.



It's one of the caps on my ADSL modem. After a short powerdown it was almost impossible to get it back up again. Eventually I got it going but its capacitors are clearly living on borrowed time!

Samwha, established in August 1956, and Nichicon's Korean subsidiary since December 1973. RD, RG, and RK are some of their "okay" series (although they may be failing in your case). But other series from them, such as WB, XC, VA, are known to fail very prematurely, so beware of those.

Thanks a lot! I've dug up their datasheets. I was expecting some low-ESR caps, but RD, RG and RK all seem to be somewhat similar general purpose caps. So I can now look for suitable replacements.
