    Jetway 939GT4-SLI-G

Just noticed a couple of bad capacitors on my Jetway 939GT4-SLI-G motherboard. Both of the failed capacitors are labeled Sacon which I understand to be known faulty brand. Now, I question whether all of my motherboard's electrolytics should be replaced. Despite the two visibly failed Sacon capacitors, my computer seems to be running smoothly.

Here is a rundown of what I've found on my motherboard:

    Two (2) Sacon 1500uF 10V, 10mm x 16mm, bulging and leaky.
    Five (5) Sam Young (NXC) 1500uF 6.3V, 10mm x 13mm.
    Eleven (11) Sam Young (NXC) 1500uF 16V, 8mm x 23(?)mm.
    Ten (10) Capsun 470uF 16V, 8mm x 12mm.
    Fourteen (14) Evercon (E5DA) 100uF 16V, 6mm x 8mm.

Besides the two Sacon capacitors which are obviously in need of replacement, are any of the other capacitors I've listed candidates for replacement?

I would replace anything 470uF and higher. Sam Young and Capsun are not known good brands (although anything is better than Sacon/GSC). As replacements I would recommend the following:

    Sacon 1500uF 10V and Sam Young 1500uF 6.3V - https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...products_id=40
(Note that it is usually OK to use 6.3v caps in place of 10V, since the highest voltage that the 10V caps would be getting is 5V, which is also within the limits of a 6.3v)

    Sam Young 1500uF 16V - https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...products_id=38

    Capsun 470uF 16v - https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...products_id=51
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

      Thank you for your suggestions.

Would it really not be worth it to replace the 100uF caps? They appear to be Evercon, and I've read comments that suggest that Evercon are basically Sacon by another name. I do appreciate avoiding unnecessary replacement, though.

While it is true that Evercon are a very bad brand, the really low uF caps rarely fail, even if they are a bad brand, since they are not put under much stress. Having said that, though, if you want to replace them just to be sure, go ahead.

Oops! I'm not sure how I did that, but I read the Sam Young caps all wrong. They're actually two groups.

          Four (4) Sam Young 1800uF 16V.
          Seven (7) Sam Young 2200uF 6.3V.

            Re: Jetway 939GT4-SLI-G

            OK, recapping what I have:

            Two (2) Sacon 1500uF 10V, 10mm x 16mm.
            Five (5) Sam Young 1500uF 6.3V, 10mm x 13mm.
            Ten (10) Capsun 470uF 16V, 8mm x 12 mm.
            Fourteen (14) Evercon 100uF 16V, 6mm x 8mm.
            Four (4) Sam Young 1800uF 16V, 10mm x 25mm.
            Seven (7) Sam Young 2200uF 6.3V, 10mm x 25mm.

Then leaving the low-value 100uF from replacement, here are the options I'm considering.

            Premium package:

            Seven (7) 1500uF 6.3v 10mm MCZ Series.
            Ten (10) 470uF 16v 8mm MBZ Series.
            Four (4) 1800uF 16v 10mm MBZ Series.
            Seven (7) 2200uF 6.3v 10mm MBZ Series.

            Budget package:

            Seven (7) 1500uF 6.3v 10mm GC Series.
            Ten (10) 470uF 16v 8mm GD Series.
            Four (4) 1800uF 16v 10mm MBZ Series.
            Seven (7) 2200uF 6.3v 10mm GC Series.

            Thoughts?

Either package would be OK. Rubycon are more highly regarded for reliability, but samxon are just fine as well.
