    Pakard bell laptop wont power

    Greetings,
I have a pakard bell laptop that won't power up. I checked the Dc input using a multimeter and it's giving 19 V as expected. I opened the laptop up and tested it's socket 478 pentium 4 3GHz processor by putting it into another computer- result OK. I tested the DDR memory modules using another laptop and they work fine too. The laptop was not subjected to a power surge. I've ran outa options can you help me?
    regards,
    Danyom

The power connector on the main board is a weak spot on every laptop as has been gone over here several times with other brands.
Since it's susceptable to bumping I always look at the solder joints closely.
All other external connections should be examined carefully also.
I've seen usb ports crowbarred with pins overlapping.
Any serious scuffing on the case could indicate a drop, check the board in that area again.

Last but not least, look for on board fuse.
