just got an epson v300. did some document scans i wanted to do. and white is white which is really good performance. this scanner had led light not cold cathode but is powered by wall brick not usb port like the canons. led means fast startup

the cover can be turned 180 degs so laid over for book scanning

the driver is good also.

pretty happy. lets see the longevity though...
