Do SMD electrolytic caps have a shorter shelf life than aluminium electrolytic caps?

Just a somewhat related note that if an SMD cap doesn't have vent, it may still still be aluminium electrolytic and not polymer. Some people seem to think that no vent must mean that it is polymer.
