Re: Samsung UE40D5520RKXXU USB Problem

Post #6 has the USB drive formatted as FAT32
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=58112
Also the USB drive should hold the firmware only and nothing else.

Re: Samsung UE40D5520RKXXU USB Problem

Have you formatted the USB drive as per the user manual. I think it has to be formatted as FAT16 but I'm not 100% certain. Also is there a limit to the USB drive size for your set.

Re: Toshiba 52RV530U DONT TURN ON.

You really need to provide some pictures of your boards. Occasionally a problem can be spotted. Also on page 2 of the mauual Budm provided above (post #5) it gives the voltages you should have. You...

Re: KDL-60EX700 7 Blinks

From what you say looking like an over temperature shut down. What , I don't know but perhaps the manual can tell you what temperature sensor is monitoring.

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

The voltage at the emitter should be around 12v to 15V. Trunks81 could give you the correct figure. So maybe something could be loading this supply.

Can you meaure the resistance of IC902 between...

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

If you lift Q802 and see if
1) the low resistance is gone between the two pins, 17 & 22
2) check the mosfet while out of circuit.

Re: Philips 55PUS6262/12 always ON but no picture

If the mainboard matches that shown in the manual in post #9 then go to section 6.3 and carry out the voltage checks shown.

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

Do a search for Trunks81 (using the search box at the top of the page) who was recently working on two power supplies similar if not identical to yours where you may find some useful information. If...

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

You are using a 1K resistor (or close to that value) when you jump +5VSB to S/B
So you have the +5VSB so it looks like IC905 is working so it should be providing a decent voltage to the emitter of...

Re: LG RZ42PX11 Flickering / Flashing

Looking at the video it does appear to be losing the video content intermittently.
Generally I would run a self-test but I am unfamiliar with your set. Do a search on the forum for information on...

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

So is +5VSB fluctuating or holding fast when disconnected from the mainboard and no jumper resistors in place?
What voltage do you have on the 3 legs of Q907

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

Is the top of Q902 blown off?
C922 looks odd in your photo but it could just be a distortion in the photo.

Re: Vestel 17PW26-4 V.1

Here is the schematic for your mainboard.
I would check all the voltage regulators as shown on page 10 of 20 for the correct output voltages.

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

Are you certain the diode is shorted. Have you measured it out of circuit?
With the mainboard disconnected from the power supply use a 1K resistor between +5V and S/B then check the voltages again

Re: Philips 55PUS6262/12 always ON but no picture

It is looking like a problem on the mainboard. If you disconnect the wifi module will it power up as normal?

Re: Philips 55PUS6262/12 always ON but no picture

It looks as though the 3.5v is not connected on this board.

Re: Vestel 17PW26-4 V.1

If the supplies are correct when ST_BY is connected to ground then that will be correc way. I had it the wrong way round. So Budm has given the correct method for testing.

Edit
Found some notes...

Re: Vestel 17PW26-4 V.1

With the mainboard disconnected from power supply jumper ST_BY to +5V using a 1K resistor. Then check for +12V & +24V.

Re: Philips 55PUS6262/12 always ON but no picture

Can you post a photo of the underside of the power supply. Basically the reverse of the picture in your first post. Just want to check that the 3.5V is actually wired up on this board.
