yes it does, the thin wires between the case connectors and the connector on the motherboard arent rated to handle more than 250mA (the original usb power spec)
you probably damaged the cable or...

351 could be a cap or a temperature sensitive resistor of some type to limit current.

remove resin by heating it first, i have de-potted loads of protection devices on arcade boards that way.

the fault only happens when something warms up - you find the part by heating and cooling it.
a vertical line wouldnt normally be possible because the horizontal drive forms part of the high-voltage...

i dont use the tip, i use the bend :)

but it does get hot enough to melt solder at the tip.
if i want to do that though i switch to the ILS

the cap is probably for horizontal yoke drive,
the difference in uf could effect the image width.

it's common to replace them with film caps these days.

for wide braid i use a blade tip "K",
for small braid i like "JL02" bent tip.

yes, checked again - inrush limiter.

and probably a good idea to point out that the primary heatsink is connected to rectified mains!!

R1 a MOV looks cracked,
and check the diodes and whatever is on that heatsink for shorts.
you have more bad parts - you need to find them.

best i'v found in 8mm so-far is 1000uf, but i'm still looking :)
