Re: LG 55UJ6200 - backlight turns on, power light blinks 3 times, nothing else

Double check the flex cables to the screen and all the other cables are plugged in correctly also check a corner of the screen isn't cracked, they are the usual points of failure during a repair.

Re: Thorn 65thl4kst1

Measure with power off.
If he's reversing probes then I'd guess his meter is in diode mode.

Re: Game Gear Power Supply 2110K No Output Voltage for 1 pin

You have a componemt with a short on the 34v line. You need to follow the tracea to see which components they go to and test them. Perhaps a diode.

Re: Thorn 65thl4kst1

I believe it's indicating it's out of range, those caps are higher than 200 ohm resistance, not shorted.
Turn the range up to double check.

Re: Thorn 65thl4kst1

It's unlikely you have 11 capacitors measuring 0 if I'm seeing correctly. Recheck.

Re: Logitech MX Master 3 dead

You can buy DIY usb connectors that come with solder pads, connect those to the four worn pads on your PCB. Plug it in and test.

Re: Logitech MX Master 3 dead

I live in the UK and I would just repair it, it's a receiver, it doesn't need to be pretty.

Re: Logitech MX Master 3 dead

You tell us you have to hold the USB at an angle to work, that is faulty.
I'd buy a new USB connector and solder the old board to the new.

Re: Decipher part of this please: 4.7U_0805_25V6K

I've seen some identified as 7U_0805_25V6-K and have also seen the 6 replaced with a 7.

I'm with PeteS , K is tolerance and the 6 is the tempco.

It's not ordering quantity.

Re: BGA reballing techniques and equipment

You could make a little wall around the stencil with some plasticine/modelling clay/blu tac to stop them rolling away.

Re: BGA reballing techniques and equipment

Clean up is quick, a large blob of leaded solder followed by some Chemtronics braid, done just after the chip has been removed whilst there is still some heat in the board.
Placing the balls and...

Re: BGA reballing techniques and equipment

You need to identify where the time is going.
I use Amtech 559 flux and indirect heat stencils in a holder.

Re: Hitachi 55" TV dead after 18 months (Vestel 17MB100)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2018 it is the vendor not the manufacturer that is responsible and as it's a TV the expectation is still covered after 18 months.

The OP needs to remind the vendor...

Re: Drilling out solder from capacitor holes

The holes can be plated, non plated and partly plated. Don't drill holes out, use these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33004594843.html or a needle to clear the hole.

Re: Desoldering help

Depending on the connector I add leaded solder or low melt solder using an iron. Then I use hot air to remove the connector. I don't use flux when removing stuff.
