it looks like something got wiped across them.
electrolyte is usually darker on colour - and the metal pushes up before it comes out.
that said, i wont cost much to change them anyway.

as for saturation, like i said - your driving it with variable current - not voltage.

horrible.
i hate those type of cheap circuits - it reminds me of 2$ usb chargers.

the lower winding gets powered, the upper winding then energises and cancels the supply to the lower winding....

i would have just swapped parts with the other meter till the fault moved.

well fets need variable voltage, and transistors need variable current.
most fets dont like being part-on(linear mode) and get hot.

you dont say your led drive voltage, but i think you need to...

RDS is the resistance when it's on.
lower RDS = less heat

and some guy says "the pwm driver is "PF6005AG". I replace it with "PF6003AG" which has more driver capabilities."

i have seen fets socketed in the past by using molex KK series connectors.
but not in anything that pushes them hard, it was in monitor flyback circuits.

the biggest reason for an mcu to know 0-point i think would be a video-wall - to prevent tearing of the image
