Sorry, I was not clear in my post.

The LG training manual had two steps.

1st step is PS Board Low Voltage Test1. Just jumper Standby to Pwr on and check for 12V and 20V. This board already...

and it apparently was a capacitor C114 (per BUDM) that caused the problem.

I missed one on the list. I did not see the printing on the PCB. It is the 1500u (3rd one from the line up) that is not...

Sounds like you are missing the caddy or drive connector. Google the other model # on the unit and you may find the connector.

I took a complete set of CCFLs from a cracked screen. I use that as my guidance to test whether the 2sec to balck is due to inverter or bad CCFLs.

I also kept the p/s, inverter board and control...

I checked my notes...

I had also previously replaced C812 1000uF/10V (it was domed).

If you have 1000/16v, you can lay it down.
