Re: A Shorted wirewound resistor?

that's fine... you need a real good calibrated DMM and test leads to be that exact.

Re: Repair Synology DS118 - fsbl fail - RAM already changed

Look at the data lines on the flash chip? If they are o.k. then the only option you have left is to program a known working file on there. Sure... check the voltage rails for AC on the caps.

Re: Luxman R-117 intermittent power up and receptacles + PA stuck on repair

I didn't replace that 22 ohm resistor. I must have just put a relay with a 24VDC coil in. It will work fine at 17V.

Re: Uniden Bearcat BC 760XLT scanner no audio repair

Yes, I did. It's just a small bulb. If it would be mine, I'd convert it over to LED. There are some diffused, milky square (cube style) LED's that I use for something like this. They diffuse really...

I agree eccerr0r. Was a perfect Saturday evening repair after a hard week at work. Not complicated, straight forward and schematics to boot. It’s nice to catch a break like that once in a while....

Re: Luxman R-117 intermittent power up and receptacles + PA stuck on repair

Forgot to mention, you can over volt the relay coil up to 130%. No more. I other words you could put 15.6v to a 12v coil.

Looking at the schematic, it is the amp with the 14v relay coil that gets...

Re: Luxman R-117 intermittent power up and receptacles + PA stuck on repair

I can’t remember if that is the one that had like 17V on a 14V relay coil or not. Measure the voltage on the relay coil. If it is 17V, put a 24v relay in.

Re: Dell 2700w j728n 3kVa UPS not starting

Nope, because the batteries aren’t all in parallel. I am thinking it runs at 48V not on 12V.

Re: Agilent U1253B OLED display failed

Cording to atomicfrenzy his drop in replacement display consume less power than the Chinese replacements. I didn’t have enough time yet to verify this.

Re: Agilent U1253B OLED display failed

I caught a lucky break today and got home early and had to try that new display out. I've got this display drop in replacement from "atomicfrenzy" on EBay for the Agilent U1253A and the early model...

Fast forward a few months: The display I've ordered from that EBay seller worked fine as kind on my meter, but I couldn't mount it correctly. After a bit of chatting back and forth, I decided to send...

Re: Power Man ip-p300bn7-2 blown (fixed)

Funny you mentioned it and you may be on to something... I just went on Mouser to see about a replacement cap data sheet on a Rubycon VXH series 450V 220uF (22mm X 40mm). It's rated for 120Hz.

Re: Seasonic dead after wrong SATA power cable

See if PSon voltage is present between the green wire and a black wire. Measure it with your DMM, you should have something like 2.5V there.

Re: Seasonic dead after wrong SATA power cable

I did the same thing and I made a thread about it. In my case it blew the protection diodes in the HDD. It shut the psu down instantly. Anyway… with everything unplugged from the PSU, just plug it...

Re: Power Man ip-p300bn7-2 blown

Looking at the WT7525 datasheet, I got the idea and jumped pin 2 GND to pin 3 FPOB, trying to force it on and hopefully firing that PSU up. Plugged it in aaand? :hiding: No :poof:
The PSU fired...

Re: UMEC AD-UP220-AE Power Supply schematic needed

I am sure others are going to chime in here soon.

The resistor and diode on the gate allow higher capacitance on the gate of the mosfet, affecting turn on and off times. If push comes to shove you...
