It will do, the BIOS (basic input output system) was replaced with UEFI (unified extensible firmware interface) in Windows 8.

Lets have a photo of the plastic on the motherboard if you haven't got...

AD is active directory it's on the DC or domain controller where the group policies for the network are set. Its also where you set passwords.
The bitlocker key is stored against the computer name...

This is not true, if you have the Bitlocker key you can move a drive to another machine to decrypt it, it doesn't store the MAC. I have done it several times.

If only there was a way we could visually confirm what is going on in that area.

It's poor consumer law/vendors you have over there. Some vendors sell their TVs with a 6 year warranty.

The two voltages I asked for a diagnostic points. The 0V indicates a panel fault and that is the part LG would replace.
As the driver boards are attached to the panel they are classed as the same...

They are test points that indicate where the fault it. 0v tells us it's the panel.
The panel to LG is the replaceable part so it's on the driver board or panel.

There were two test points next to the connector, you have given one, I don't think you have given the other.

I suspect the fault is in the panel or on one of the driver boards.

The ICs, what are they on the driver boards ? Not the Winbond.

I would think it's failed physically with to many bad blocks.
You have tried the only way to repair it without replacing it.

Looking closer there are some test points, the voltage conversion is usually done on the tcon but this is done on the mainboard.

Driver/panel whatever they are called. Why would 12v be going to them, there doesn't seem anything to drive.

The other voltage? The lack of coils on the driver boards suggests there won't be 12v on there.

Remove the cable between the power supply and mainboard, do the back lights come one and stay on ?
If yes, what are the two voltages on the test points next to the backlight connector ?
