Re: Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)

Re: Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)
Just to lower the overall heat inside the enclosure lol
I'm running into the problem where it shuts off after a while and I have to wait for the capacitor to discharge before I can turn it back...

Re: Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)
It's what was feeding the 7805, at least according to the schematic.

Re: Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)
First thing I did was to replace the caps, I had some spare ones from previous recapping job, wasn't planning on getting SMD resistors, I just placed 2 orders with Digikey but your mod looks so neat...

Re: Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)
Dead thread revival, plan on doing this mod myself
R11, either replace with 20k or put 100k in parallel (21.25k)
R24, going to put 20k in parallel to get 3.6k ~23V/62W output
The 2.7 (2-3ohm)...
