Re: Intimidation Professional sub advice please
There likely is no protection circuit. I suspect the output mosfets could also be bad, I see what looks like a lead trimming or solder splash on the mosfet lead in the lower left of your picture.

Re: Conversion of Anolog Voltmeter into Ammeter
You would need to remove the 3k in series and then use a shunt across the movement.
As the meter is now, 3 volts gives FSD, with a resistance of 3500Ω the current through the movement is about...

How was QP802C shorted? was it shorted D~G ? if it was you may have damaged the gate drive components, likely a shorted diode. Also check if there is a zener diode off the IS pin of the drive ic that...

Re: Conversion of Anolog Voltmeter into Ammeter
That is battery tester and likely has an internal load resistor to load the battery to get a proper reading when testing 1.5v batteries. It likely won't move with .3v
With your current setup 12v, 8Ω...

Re: Thermistor specs and cross reference
I agree, 100k. According to the datasheet TTC-005 = 5Ω, TTC-101 = 100Ω etc. On the next page it seems wrong and should likely be (KΩ) TTC-102 = 1Ω? likely should be 1K so TTC-104 should be 100K
If...
