Re: 820-00840-A CD3215 short
You mentioned earlier that you were not getting 1.1V LDO.
There are 2 CD3215s. What about the other LDO?
One of these CD3215s is used as slave and the other as master. It is normal to have no...

Re: 820-00840-A CD3215 short
@mon2
aren't these CD3215s supposed to be replaced in pairs from my recall?
Also pay special attention to the actual part number:
CD3215B03 will not work in place of a CD3215C00

Re: Macbook 820-01700 Stuck at 5V
PPBUS_G3H should be 12.63V
If PPBUS_G3H is 12.32V, T2 chip is stuck in DFU mode.
What is your exact PPBUS_G3H reading (to two decimal places please)
As usual, @mon2 is spot on, alluding to this...

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
The chip he is referring to is the U4770 SOC ROM IC located on the A1932 and A2179 boards.
They are Macronix MX25U3235F, but the same kinds are also made by the Winbond company. Just different...

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
@Stephen, I'm curious when you say "run the jailbreak", do you mean the minaT2Activator.app found on the golden USB?; You mentioned earlier in the post, this has already been patched.
Also, others...

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
I suppose if someone 2 to 3 months from now reviews their icloud account and says "Oh wait, I sold that macbook a long time ago, I don't need this as part of my devices" and they remove it, then you...

Re: Macbook Pro a1708 820-00840 no power
Greetings @mon2
I'm curious, did you mean 3.3V? or indeed 3.42V. There are no PP3V42 rails on the 2018-2020 class computers that uses USB-C as far as I know;
PP3V42_G3H is of course the 1st and...

Re: Macbook Pro a1708 820-00840 no power
agree with @mon2
Before we blame the CD3215, we have to make absolutely sure we have power to the CD3215s.
PP3V3_G3H is generated by U6990, it can be measured at R6999. This is a mandatory rail...

Hello everyone!
Just trying to understand some terminology: "icloud lock" vs. "Activation lock"
