ok changed the caps including the blue one . did a good job considering the damage. one trace had to be glued back down .. charged a battery but it only took ten minutes . no smoke and nothing...

they have max temp on them for rated hours ..the cooler they are kept the longer they last

see if you figure why q31 base is low . meaning q31 is off it needs to be on .

one hole is plated through by the looks of it
easy fix with cut of lead if pass through is gone .. just had to that with some relays .

way i read it is its not turning off .i thought the noise might be keeping it on and asked to short inputs to see if noise went away ..if it is the transformer its likely loose laminations or its...

ordered 1kv ..i also took the good charger apart to have a nosy at the caps . 180nf but in circuit so wont be right . only measure one way so has to be wrong .

well spotted i missed that blue cap .tried to clean off the mark but its staying put so best replace it ..its marked 222 1kv . i expect its 2.2nf 1kv

ok its a 250w motor .. ebay ad says 30a is good for less than 1000 w . no idea if that figure is inflated somehow like they do .

its 36v ..
bike is a haibike ..yamaha motor ..from what i can find the most it will be is 500w . most are 250w . will know for sure when i hear back from the owner .
