As it turns out one end the LVDS cable going to the TCON board was not making good contact. I reseated both ends and it works perfectly now.

Thanks for the feedback! I thought maybe there was hope for the mainboard since it's still sending out an HSYNC signal and seems to be responding in some way to user input but it is a fairly complex...

Thanks for the input, you must be right because its acting pretty weird no matter what I do. The screen appears evenly lit for the most part but there's probably an LED out in there somewhere.

Oh wait it's not labeled but based on other variants of this board I'm assuming its the vias coming off R51 and R52 in the lower right, top side.
