Re: Help me find a replacement power supply!

Looks like regular ATX to me. Just that they made a slim opening in the back.

Re: WD drive "colors"

Looks a lot like I have a PNY CS900 500 GB SSD that has silent corruption. SFC kept coming back with the corruption report, with the Windows 10 1909 that's on it. Even when Windows Update didn't...

Re: WD drive "colors"

I remember when Blues were probably always 7K and seemed not much different than the Blacks! The Blues, used to be the "poor man's Black".

IIRC, it wasn't until very late when the Blues also were...

Re: Can halogen bulb damaged trip breaker?

I know that in the Americas, with "split-phase", probably a bad neutral connection. Not so sure for Europe.

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

A "fake"=Reportedly claiming the card is a newer gen, while putting an older-gen GPU instead.

And, with my last post, I was wondering if "Navi" owners can reply here.

Albeit, I have an MSI...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

Is that error code commonly happening to "Navi" users?

IIRC, people are reporting crashes being common with "Navi" Radeons.
(RX5000 series)

I'm wondering if it's the same bugcheck code,...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

Heads up, many weeks ago by now, I got a rare crash without a BSOD displayed, but Windows 10 logged "0x0000003b" for "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION". It definitely looked like wonky driver in that case!...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

Like how a Radeon 9000 Pro often got beat by a Radeon 8500, LOL!

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

I think it was 512 MB of GDDR2 or something similar on mine.

Re: Dell Dimension 1100? ...or is it? The Ultimate Sleeper System

Blue LEDs, were a Bush-era classic, even more so with those blue-LED-fans!
I remember those Antec blue-LED fans seeming popular.

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

Almost like the GeForce 9500 GT? A GeForce 9600 GT would decimate them, IIRC! Those were very slow, but the eVGA version of the GeForce 9500 GT that I had, was super reliable!

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

And thus, "RX3800" isn't a "Navi", LOL!

I don't hate my Samsung Galaxy S10+ at all!

The best camera I ever saw, looks like DSLR camera manufacturers will be quaking!

Re: Windows 10 blues screen problem

1909 seems to be an OK version.

While 1511 seemed to have a broken AHCI driver out of the box!

Re: Sharp Aquos 80" TV ~ Model # LC-80LE844U ~ Not operational

Well, I saw what look like inverter caps, IIRC. (Those blue ones, which if they are caps, can be confused with MOVs)

Re: Windows 10 blues screen problem

There's an error code a bit lower on that screen.

If it says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA" or "BAD_POOL_HEADER", reseat the RAM.

Re: Sharp Aquos 80" TV ~ Model # LC-80LE844U ~ Not operational

I see what looks like a time of manufacture. "1245". Looks like week 45 in 2012.

While OTOH, I have a Vizio where I can't find the time of manufacture printed, at least until I get the back cover...

Re: Sharp Aquos 80" TV ~ Model # LC-80LE844U ~ Not operational

Is that even an LED backlight? Looks like CCFL inverter caps! (those blue components)

The model code appears to indicate a later-with-LED-version, right before Hisense bought the Sharp TV...
