There is a know issue about this it has to do with a temperature sensor that failure to a closed position and it makes a mess in the freezer I replace a few them before or it the diode issue as well...

Unfortunately they are not the only refrigerator...

I would consider putting a fuse on each input to the diodes just for good measure
The reason I am recommending this is because of the fact that you have already had this failure already...
