Re: How to desolder this component beside chemical cap ?

You add leaded solder to the chip you want to remove, then you cover all the other nest by stuff with capton tape and then proceed to remove the IC with hot air and a small nozzle. I wouldn’t worry...

Re: Chinese no brand ultrasonic cleaner

Can you post a pic of the whole unit? Sorry, I am just curious as I have one too. However mine only blew the fuse inside the socket once. Got mine now for like 4 years and still going strong.

Re: Samsung UE48H6270SSXZG black screen after Smart TV logo

I’d say you are on the right path with you firmware issue diagnosis. If you have a flash programmer, check the flash itself if it is still good.

Plug in the backlights to the power supply and...

Re: Anyone know of an alternative for a R10E2662-2 DPDT relay

As long as the coil voltage and relay configuration is the same, you can wire the new relay in and glue it in its new place. I even done this with unobtainable rf relays. Works fine as kind.

Re: Component tester which one is worth the money from it capability to test and iden

There is decent money in ecu repair… I’ve done a few of them. Some successful, others not. If not successful, most of the time it boils down to some sort of parts issue unless you got donors. If you...

Re: flourescent ballast resistance

Finding a 9w cfl ballast shouldn’t be a problem as these are very common. Only thing is, you gotta be damn near on the ball, otherwise too much or too little (wattage mismatch) will damage that lamp....

For what it’s worth, GE still makes magnetic ballasts for the NA market. I thought nobody made those magnetic ballasts anymore?

Re: flourescent ballast resistance

Re: Turbo Start QPET 16V/25A racing charger repair

Turns out the SCR's are actually O.k. when tested with my bench PSU. The DMM and another component tester didn't have enough oomph to trigger the gate. :smack:

Problem was in the wiring. A chaffed...
