Re: Car Audio Delco identification and restoration / repair

The 2 pin cable will require +12 volts for the Batt lead as well as +12 volts to the PK Lights lead. This controls the display. the DIM connection controls the brightness of the internal (trim panel)...

Re: Car Audio Delco identification and restoration / repair

The Red wire is likely for the constant memory backup, the brown should be for the display, connecting it to +12v should light the display

Re: ONN 100012588 Has fluctuating Voltage on PSU 12v

The optocoupler is in the correct way. see the pin 1 dot on the ic, it matches the pin1 of the board (cutoff corner)
Pin 1&2 are the led and are on the secondary side of the power supply, pins 3&4...

Re: ONN 100012588 Has fluctuating Voltage on PSU 12v

U302 is not a zener, it is a shunt regulator ic, The reference is connected to a resistor divider network, one end is ground, the other end of the divider connects to the +12v output, when the +12v...

Re: ONN 100012588 Has fluctuating Voltage on PSU 12v

When the power supply is in standby the pfc circuit should be OFF, so the voltage across the main caps (EC102) should only be 160vdc. I suspect something is damaged around the optocoupler, and...

Re: samsung lt22c300ew - psu pslf560501a no power

Check the voltage ACROSS CM807, this is the vcc voltage for the ic (around 15~20vdc), also try replacing CM807. Check the resistance of RM803 out of circuit, then check DM803 smd diode in parallel...

Re: ONN 100012588 Has fluctuating Voltage on PSU 12v

This power supply is an always on power supply, in standby the pfc circuit is off and the main switching ic is likely in burst mode, that is why the voltage on the 12v line is low, anywhere from 8 to...

Re: EVGA 500 watt with fan twitch

MMBT2907A, device marking is M7A. If the 3.3v supply was getting +5v I suspect something on the 3.3 volts line got damaged ie a zener diode used for protection.

Re: Vizio E470VL got +5VSB, but no 12V

You likely either have a bad ccfl or there is a problem on the connections on the distribution board inside the panel.

Re: Help with blowing transistor NAD T752 receiver

J504B connects to V+ and V- of J781B, via JMP58~61, it will have the full +_ supplies on it. (see page 17) The jack could be either just a test point or it is for a different model.

Re: Help with blowing transistor NAD T752 receiver

Get some proper insulators, playing cards don't transfer heat very well.

Re: Help with blowing transistor NAD T752 receiver

What type of insulators did you have on the output transistor that blew up? it looks like the collector arced to the heatsink.
Did you use new insulators and fresh heat sink compound?

It might be a mpc89e58, similar to a 8051, it should use a 12mHz crystal, Did you try an actual crystal or a ceramic resonator?

Re: Please help identify this IC

The fact it is marked Q13 suggests it is a transistor and not an I.C.
