He meant unplug the flex cables that come from the screen and go to the mainboard.

Its always a good idea to check the backlights. I have had a Philips in with the same symptoms.

Firmware updates are different from the content on the 25Q32. It wouldnt work if you put the firmware directly on a 25Q32 or vice versa.

5 times blinking means a dying ctr. Sorry about that. The picture will get better after it gets warms but it will get worse day by day, meaning that each day you have to wait longer to get a better...

Try a small voltage injection and see what gets hot. It might be a component or the screen itself.

Remove all those diodes. As far as I remember those are for protection purposes. You can either replace them or leave the board without diodes.

I get 96v on the leds on the other board. Backlights are ok i checked with led tester and with the other board.

I just checked 5v is fine as well just dissapears when the tv retries.
There is also about 260v on the leds but they never light up.

56 leds in total

Does the led flash 5 times when you turn it on? If so the crt screen might be dying. In my experience sony crt tvs had only 2 major faults: crt and flyback transformer.

As far as I know the picture that you have posted is not the screen model. Its the model for the case+diffusers and stuff.

Check both left and right side of the screen and you should see a model...

I still think thats its not a faulty screen nor a faulty tcon. Your mainboard replacement its not compatible with the screen.

You will waste a lot of time and patience if you choose to remove the lens, replace led, glue back the lens. You will need at least 2-3 hours from start to finish.
