and the oled runs at 3.3v no issues

the plastic tube base has a starter across the heaters - it acts just like a fullsize tube.

looking closer,
maybe we should run it at 3.3v
then we can use a lithium cell instead of a 9v battery that may only be good for a few hundred mA
maybe a 500mA cell from a disposable vape together...

unless there is a jumper on the board or something, i dont know why you couldnt flash an Aladin

i will say though, i prefer the 1.0 - 1.5 models for this reason.

CFL = compact flourescent lamp
