Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

The ones I've seen used active glass that synced with the screen. Only certain games were configured for 3D, they looked and worked just like a regular laptop when 3D wasn't activated.

Re: LG 49UF6400 tint on half of screen + no OSD?

That's a BGA issue on the mainboard not a tcon issue.

Re: Samsung UA40D5500 top 1/3 dark and ghostly

There are several ways to remove rounded out screws. Use screw extractors, cut a slot in the top of the head and use a flat bladed screwdriver, grab with decent pliers, grind the top off flat or use...

Re: Apple smc and bios programmer

A free upgrade if you post your extremely rare hardware back from a company that seemingly has disappeared, are you sure it's not a scam ?

Re: LG 42LE4500 PSU Replaced Backlight Failing Again

If you're prepared to wait a little you can get a set of four LED strips from China for about 25.

Re: Lg 32lb5700 no power on led

It's tiny and black which is why it doesn't look like it's there. It's in circuit with the two black devices either side of it, it sits lower than them so it's very unlikely it could be knocked off,...

Re: Lg 32lb5700 no power on led

That's definitely looks broken off, non filled pads have more rounded solder domes. I have an identical board here and have just pulled that capacitor, it's 10uf.

Re: Sad tale of a PS4 - no video output

The only reason they would accept that back is if they don't see the damage to the LAN, as they will check the HDMI for damage as the customer is claiming no picture, they are sure to see it. At...

Re: Sad tale of a PS4 - no video output

I can't see Game wanting anything to do with it, with obvious physical damage.
It looks fine externally, but I'd check the connections with a meter.
Two months old from new or second hand ? look...

Re: Beginner, practicing to unsolder on a lead free xbox 360 board, it is hell.

Soldering new through hole components does not really give you any experience in removing components. As Spider1211 suggests, practice removing some components from some scrap boards instead.

Re: Beginner, practicing to unsolder on a lead free xbox 360 board, it is hell.

That's a job for a hot air station not a 60W iron with a cone tip.

Re: Visio Main Board Repair

If you saw the menu with the first mainboard then the tcon and power supply are working.
There is 12v power to the tcon and the 0.375V you are reading will be the low voltage differential signals.

Re: Noob - reballing, balling, stencil questions...

I don't think you can use leaded paste if you're using the existing pre solderered balls on the new socket. They are just going to squish out the paste which will become liqiudus way before the lead...

Re: Panasonic TX-55CX400B backlights flashing on and off

Re: Noob - reballing, balling, stencil questions...

1.) Not every stencil is 100% accurate on the size.
2.) Baking should be around 125c.
3.) I don't think there is a better way, just which ever way works, some like direct heat, others indirect or a...

Capacitor CP810, the bridge rectifier and the fuse were damaged and the mosfet and FAN7530 were replaced out of caution.
The new bridge...
