maybe there is too much corruption on your dump. The flash is too far gone, or something important got corrupted. Try to find a dump online and copy that on the new flash.

Naw... doesn't have big enough filter caps. Looks like it used to run a lot and someone knew how to fix it (a lot). The screw holes are worn, extra grounding lug...

My guess, a commercial PSU, ran...

Because you get full power shorted to gate pin. The gate drive can't handle that kind of power. The PWM doesn't have to necessarily blow up, but it could be dead, or stuck on. If it is stuck on, well...

Either the relay isn’t any good, or it didn’t get switched on, or just a bad resistor. R5 is just a current limiting resistor that prevents the main caps from being charged too fast when turned on...

You can tell which string is bad by measuring the voltage on each.
It makes a good project to learn.

I wouldn’t go specifically buy capacitors, but if you had some good used ones to pop in on hand from a junker board, go ahead and try. It will not fix the 2 LED out situation.

the PSU part for the back light went into protection mode or one led went open in the string. LED's are current controlled, not voltage controlled. That's all right until one or more LED's fail,...

to me an amp err occurs, when there is DC on one of the output channels. Check each channel again.

Could be anything, from bad solder joints, bad capacitors, transformer going bad, bad connection somewhere...
You can’t check the health of a capacitor, by charging it up with your DMM in ohms mode...
