shorted speaker wires . mismatched speakers to amp ..too low ohms . having amp turned up to clipping for too long . then there is faults like idle bias set too high . bad ventilation causing...

unsure of the current .i just turned the volume up some . maybe 10 or 20 watts worth and then fireworks

i would think there is a bridge rectifier for the main rails .. check for the +- voltages there .

i normally put a strand of wire through the hole and call it done .. has to carry enough current though .

its probably shorted internally .

now i am confused looking at a datasheet ... maybe the V makes it different ......

looks like the resistor decided to be a fuse ..there is a short in the output amplifier .
the manual is really badly copied making it just about impossible to follow it .
is it a hybrid amp ?
