Re: Frying amplifier finals... audio, not rf...

Re: what to do with faulty hard drives?

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

I've already been offered a grand for it in as-is condition; no repairs made. Fair offer, but I declined it. Odds are I'd never find one in that condition again....This one is a keeper for the...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

Re: Best cheap way to cool AMD FirePro S7000?

Just a FYI, a ~50ohm resistor will get it about where you want if you're feeding it from the +12v rail.

Re: Best cheap way to cool AMD FirePro S7000?

Many of the 5v laptop fans can take 12v (I've done it a time or two diddling with things)...they naturally just spin faster....and for that, you'll probably need it....but FWIW, power it with 5v and...

Re: The (now the death of) Dolby DP600 Build (OK, this one is BEYOND COOL)

Finished 1 of 2 for the HDD diag & wipe systems. That last 5.25 bay is now filled with a 4 drive hot swap bay. This can support 7mm and 9mm drives, but not the 12mm ones. The 12mm are too tall. ...
