How would you hook up a micro controller to zero crossing to be used as a AC cycle controller

This right now is for a proof of concept and weather or not it can be done for educational purposes...

One problem I did not remove the LED until I had the computer back up and running again before I remove the LED light bulb

I have several times have found tv on the side of the road and took them home and most of the time it bad capacitors is the problem except for one of them it would not power on even after recapping...

Why not use a temperature controller for the fan and put the sensor on the heat sink if it has one and if not then mount the sensor on the device that would have the most heat coming from it

There is no problem going in a circular motion as long as you do not put a lot of side pressure in fact it works better if you use a circular motion it clear the soldering joints better when doing it...

Look at the board and see what marking are on it
See if you see a power ON power GOOD 12 volt 5 volt 3.3 volt and the normal ATX switching power supply markings if it does then hook the power ON...
