Re: LG 65UH5500-UA Backlight flash on first power up only

After looking at the boards again, it could be that the fail signal could come from the led driver board, so an error with the panel led's could trigger the power supply to shut down. maybe post the...

Re: LG 65UH5500-UA Backlight flash on first power up only

Is the 80 volts also low on the power supply? the Fail signal circuit monitors both the 80v and the 13.2 volts and if they are low it activates the Fail line.
You might also want to check the...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

In the diagram, common1 and common2 are the common point of one of the two relay contacts
the relay is a DPDT relay (google it) when there is no voltage applied to the coil, the N/C normally closed...

Re: Wireless Headphones with Hum sound?

Those cheap supplies usually use a small transformer, bridge and output cap, so the ripple willbe 60 or 120 hz. Try and use a smps adaptor, If it can handle 4.5vdc, I would think a 5vdc one would...

Re: Wireless Headphones with Hum sound?

Not knowing what type of power supply you tried makes it hard to tell whats wrong, Was it one of those adaptors with the voltage switch? what was the current rating of the adaptors you tried?

Re: Help needed identifying a component - AEG Convection Microwave

If you replace the fuse, then plug it into the outlet and the display comes on, that transformer is ok. I would then try the convection part of the oven, if that is ok, the fault would be with the...

Re: Help identifying a chip on HP Omen motherboard

We know the BC856 is a PNP so with the Black lead on the base and the Red to the other two and getting a reading of .690 is how an unknown transistor would check.
An NPN would check in a similar way...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

It would seem the only reason for switching the direction would be because when the green wire has power applied, the antenna is extended and the relay is energized and drawing current.
You might...

Re: Help identifying a chip on HP Omen motherboard

The old chip will be bad, likely shorted if it burnt like in the picture

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

The gold thing is the switch, it is a rotary switch. Because of the gear setup, simply reversing the motor won't work because it will try and run against the mechanical end of the travel.

Re: Help identifying a chip on HP Omen motherboard

Use your multimeter in diode test, with one probe on the base then with the other probe check emitter then collector should read around .6xx if not reverse the probes and check again, depending on...

Re: Help identifying a chip on HP Omen motherboard

Did you check the transistor on the new motherboard to see if it was NPN/PNP or maybe a MOSFET etc. It depends where it is used but it might just be a simple switching transistor, It could also be a...

Re: Help needed identifying a component - AEG Convection Microwave

That appears to be the low voltage smps transformer for the control panel. If the unit did not blow the fuse when it was first plugged in, I don't think that is the problem, although cracked from...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

They would be across the switch contacts. if they are not used it may not be as simple as reversing the motor wires.

Re: Help needed identifying a component - AEG Convection Microwave

The main fuse is usually a high current fuse, It could be blowing because of a faulty door switch, If the monitor switch is bad (contacts shorted) as soon as the main door switch closes the fuse will...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

There are likely diodes across the limit switches so when a limt is reached the switch opens the circuit to the motor, so to enable the motor to operate when the voltage is reveresed, a diode is...

Re: Help identifying a chip on HP Omen motherboard

What is wrong with the transistor on the board? is it shorted? or just check odd, because if it IS a digital transistor it will check odd (open) because of the built in resistors.

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way

You can try reversing the wires on the motor, that might work, it is just a simple relay that drives the motor but there will also be upper and lower limit switches and they may have diodes across...

Re: Panasonic TX-49DX600B Dead! TNPA6232 Power Board

The SUB_ON would be the power supply on signal from the main board, It turns on the power supply, If the tv was in the OFF state this voltage should be near 0 volts.
All your voltage readings seem...

Re: Panasonic TX-49DX600B Dead! TNPA6232 Power Board

It could be your meter, some meters don't like the high frequency of the pfc circuit, have you checked if you have any of the standby voltages like SRV-5V
Also what is the voltage on SUB_ON
It...
