Re: Pinout of TV antenna cable

me too. Also why are there 2 identical wire pairs? It's not really twisted to be suited for phone. But then it doesn't matter if only one pair is used, because nothing is on the other pair to cross...

Re: Pinout of TV antenna cable

The spacing isnít right for 300 ohm twin lead. It almost looks more like a control cable for an old c-band dish to me. Or maybe an lnb with skew control? Or a 4 wire thermostat? Dunno.

Re: Fluke 289 bad supercapacitor replacement repair

I don’t think so. Unless there is a very big change. That’s why there are 2 different firmwares. One for the old version and another one for the new version.

Probably someone washed your monitor and the water ran down right into the tab bonds.

Re: hard drive logic board Diode identification

The hdd should turn on without that TVS / zener diode installed, but you loose over voltage protection. The new PSUs where you can disconnect unused cables aren’t standardized. So a Thermaltake...

Re: Samsung UE50KU6070 black screen

read the spi, save a copy, FF the spi and check it. Hopefully it is still good, then all you need is a working dump.

Re: Asus V278 not powering on

Low DC voltage on the 450V main filter capacitor, should be easy fix.just go from that cap backwards.
In standby you should have 325V DC. With the PFC on, you should have something like 400V DC at...

Re: Samsung UE50KU6070 black screen

Reflash the SPI or whatever it is. Looks like a good candidate, at least it’s worth a try if you can find a dump file. Also check the SPI first, before you put a new file on. Not that you have a bad...

Re: Fish Tank LED Power Supply Gets Hot then shuts down

Looks like it only has 2 power rails. Probably 5V and 12V. That’s it.

Anyway suspects #1 have been pointed out. Basically all caps in the primary.

Re: Fish Tank LED Power Supply Gets Hot then shuts down

SPI = Sparkle Power Inc.
As for the caps, you really need to check the ESR, not the fluke capacitance test. I even caught my Fluke 289 telling me bull. More interesting look at the main filter cap....

Re: Fish Tank LED Power Supply Gets Hot then shuts down

Look at the PCB of the PSU if there is a brand and a model number printed on it. Could be along the edge or on a not so crowded area of the PCB.

Re: Fish Tank LED Power Supply Gets Hot then shuts down

What is the model number of the PSU? What IC's is it based on? I understand this light has 2 power supplies. One works good and the other one not? How are the PSU's hooked up to the 3 lights?

If I...

Re: Fish Tank LED Power Supply Gets Hot then shuts down

Looks like some dark looking LED’s… wonder if you got some bad ones? Test the individual string / individual LED’s with a bench PSU.

Re: Question about current balancing in LED strings

Use a proper led driver instead! Has even less parts (no transistor, no resistor, just the led driver) than this circuit and is current controlled.

Re: integrator 500w power supply 80 bronze schematic

Probably not going to find a schematic like that. We need to see high resolution, straight shot pictures of the PSU on both sides, maybe we can match something similar. Depending where that resistor...

Re: Nearing wit's end troubleshooting NAD T777 v3 AVR

Not going to happen, as the cost of doing so would exceed the value of the unit. So they just put a new board in, maybe do an alignment, call it quits and charge you an astronomical repair bill.
