Re: Adaptec 29160N+DFI LANParty UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert+memory remap=0x0000007B

looks like the screwup is likely in the chipset: 20320C-HP card (reflashed to original LSI FW years ago) behaves the same, 7B with remap on, very slow and forever booting with remap off

trying...

Re: Fake wire gauge

OK, nevermind. Looks like I'm a douche:dork:

Went to check the adapters I've soldered to maybe take a photo. I've noticed only now that the max/rex/whatever-power has 20AWG wires, but only...

Re: Fake wire gauge

never seen any ATX PSU cabling gauged otherwise than AWG, guess it has to do with ATX spec?

I've soldered these so the difference surely is there; actually cut the true 20AWG from that maxpower or...

Re: Powerware 9120 Online UPS

than you can only solder piece of wire to it as a last resort

that pretty much looks like linear regulator for each accumulator, burning the excessive voltage on the bulb; while that works, it is...

Re: Powerware 9120 Online UPS

lead spacing should not be a trouble, you can easily bent it to make it fit, if you have enough room around to fit the capacitor itself

KME, KMG and similar are standard/general purpose caps, you...

Fake wire gauge

Not that I am that surprised, but just noticed while cutting of some SATA cabling from dead crappy PSUs for making molex-to-dual-SATA adapters, they are not satisfied with using small wire gauge,...

Re: Corsair CX400W 5vsb goes into safety loop

so why exactly yo want to replace anything when its working there in milions of units for over a decade now, FROM THE FAB? if those MCZs don't already have 12 years of use on them, I see no reason to...

Re: Corsair CX400W 5vsb goes into safety loop

Re: The Hall of Shame - Badcaps Photo Montage - Rubycon MFZ series

Re: Powerware 9120 Online UPS

Re: Powerware 9120 Online UPS

leakage current is the last parameter that should bother you, it's generaly very small either way and it only matters in some kinds of audio/amplifier/radio circuits, not in filtering; watch ESR so...
