Enter the service menu and check the different firmware versions. Are all versions displayed correctly?
by the way, do not try updating the firmware.

Just finished the video.. could it be that in my case all 3 - Vcore, ground and +15 are shorted ( hi and low phase I guess )?

Well the first thing I got in mind was to remove them one by one until the short is gone, but my soldering station can not handle that amount of thermal...

I do not know what that means, but right now I have in front of me several "harmony one" remotes which are working just fine.
I even just reprogammed one of those remotes using the myHarmony...

Yeah, I thought about just replacing the cap with a higher V one... the switching transistor will handle it ( JCS9N50C rated 500V ), but I couldn't find any documentation on the switching IC ( 33010...

So basically the question is in the title - is it possible to mod a 120vAC switching mode power supply unit to work with 220-240vAC?
