What I can do when I get the new battery pack I can test it what ever amperage you would like and post the results

I did test them before I modify them briefly at 8 amp and they seem to alright...

What you need is a temperature controlled soldering iron with a fine tip or a tweezers type soldering iron and a magnifying glass that has a light on it this making this type of repair a lot easier...

Here are some pictures of the 7S4P modified to 3S8P fairy easily to do but a little bit time consuming to get it this way

Nice idea but I would want to be able to to select different current modes I will build one my self but have voltage and a current module so I do not have to have a meter hookup externally hooked up ...

You could one of two things on you could get a buck converter and adjust it to 24 volts and use all the batteries from 48 volts or the battery pack that has the 7S configuration take the tabbing...
