Re: Samsung un49mu7000f dead no power

The voltages and pin numbers for CNM803 are clearly marked on the BN44-00876A power supply board.
There is no 3.3 volt standby supplied by this power supply, only A13v The main board supplies all...

Re: JVC TV Model LT-65N675- No picture

Those coils are not plastic but powdered iron (or similar) The side of the ic looks damaged as well, this is not from heat but from something striking that part of the board.

Re: Harman Kardon Aura Studio 2 speaker - no power - how to identify IC?

On that ic, Pin2 is the Vin, but you will not have any output if the EN (enable) pin is 0 volts, I suspect the regulator is not being told to turn on. If the 5v regulator went bad, it may have...

Re: Hisense TV 32D33 - Replaced EEPROM, now menus have no text

The eeprom from shopjimmy should have come pre-programmed. See if there is a way to do a master reset on the tv or from the service menu

Re: Power supply repair

Seems to be 0.15Ω 5% non-inductive, How does it check? Many times when the modfet shorts, the drive ic can be damaged, also check the components in the gate circuit.

Re: JVC TV Model LT-65N675- No picture

There is a solder spot labeled HVIN3_12V (next to ICB1?) do you have +12 volts there?

Re: LG 60LB5200 No power , completely dead

Check if R48 is ok and not open circuit. I know this is an ALWAYS ON power supply, BUT it likely operates in a standby condition when the tv is turned off and not drawing high current.

Re: LG 60LB5200 No power , completely dead

Is this power supply connected to the main board? The voltages would indicate it is in standby, It has a pfc circuit but it is not operating, What is the VCC voltage across C25? Also what's the...

Re: Philips 49PUT4900/12 no backlight

The power supply is likely fine, it only takes one led in the string to short to cause the backlight circuit to go into protection.

Re: Magsafe capacitor or resistor identification

The 125v T5A refers to the (5R) ceramic fuse, under the fuse id ?00 there is a line that points to the value (125v T5A). The capacitor C010, which seems to be there, is likely a .1 or .01 cap and...

Re: Pioneer VSX-523-K Amplifier - Identify resistors

If you operate the amp with the plug off, you are bypassing the protection, so the channel with the problem could destroy itself again. You can check the bias on TP1C but I suspect the voltage will...

Re: Pioneer VSX-523-K Amplifier - Identify resistors

That plug is CP402, it connects the amp board to the relay contacts that connect to the speaker out terminals, It also connects DC_DET3 and DC_DET4. There is likely DC voltage on one of the outputs...

Re: Sharp 60LE630M DPS-165HP-2A: No Backlight

The led drive ic drives a mosfet , the mosfet has a resistor from it's source to ground, the currnt through this resistor is monitored by the CS pin of the driver ic. The drive signals (4 in this...

Re: DVDR24HD160F Dead no standby LED

It could be that there are also bad capacitors in the power supply, If you don't have cap checker/esr meter or scope etc. to check the power supply, all you can do is start replacing parts. You...

Re: Help me understand this schematic Harman&Kardon tape deck (TD470)

With the -6v Vee ALL the other voltages on ic503 will be off, that is to be expected. Check the Zener diode in diode mode on you meter. If you have 0 volts on the base of Q118, either the zener diode...

Re: DVDR24HD160F Dead no standby LED

Sometimes parts just go bad, If the diode is shorted, just leave it disconnected and with the plug that is connected to the 16v (likely goes to main board?) removed. see if the power supply will...

Re: Help me understand this schematic Harman&Kardon tape deck (TD470)

Q118 supplies -6v to ic503 Vee pin, if it is missing, you will likely not have any audio, Check Q118, and R145, DZ102 may be shorted causing 0 volts on the base and emitter.

Re: Sharp 60LE630M DPS-165HP-2A: No Backlight

This will not work, the backlight driver will detect the wrong current and shut down.
The led tester does not drive the leds at a high current and also does not have a protection circuit like the...
