Re: Eizo S2000 suddenly died

Sorry maybe I was not clear, I meant that I don't think the issue is in the EDID data with my previous message.
However I got a bit intrigued and used Entech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager...

Re: Eizo S2000 suddenly died

Thanks for your reply!
I did not disassemble the monitor that far yet to reach them but I did now.
Must say this monitor has a really nice construction!
But I could see no difference in the...

Re: Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD - F03 Error

The "T" in "TAPc" could stand for "Time Delay" i.e. a slow blow fuse.
But none of those letters really make sense so could just be production numbers...
If you try with a quick blow fuse you don't...

Eizo S2000 suddenly died

Hello, my trusty old Eizo S2000 LCD monitor suddenly died as I was using it the other day.
The picture quality started degrading and a few seconds later washed out completely, see attached photos....

Re: Dell 2700w j728n 3kVa UPS not starting

That looks like it would be based on an old iron transformer since it weights 2.3KG.
So I'd say that is a proper charger :)

Re: Dell 2700w j728n 3kVa UPS not starting

"Smart charger" well that is probably the definition of the word oxymoron if you look it up in a dictionary!
If you have a "stupid" charger then try that, if not it might be worth getting one.
(You...

Re: Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD - F03 Error

Yes exactly, just connect it where the fuse was before.

Cut away the heatshrink tubing from the old fuse and read what it says on the ends: there are fast and slow fuses and it is important to...

Re: Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD - F03 Error

Great, I would replace this fuse with an old incandescent 40w or 60w light bulb.
If this bulb turns on bright when you turn the UPS on you still have a big problem somewhere.
You can of course skip...

Re: Dell 2700w j728n 3kVa UPS not starting

Anything that simulates such a large battery voltage is going to be prohibitively expensive.
Have you actually tried to charge each battery separately on a good charger and see what happens?...

Re: Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD - F03 Error

Yes, could also be that the bridge rectifier BD1 is broken, so check if you have input AC voltage on it.

Re: Cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD - F03 Error

Yes proper standby charge voltage for a lead acid battery is around 13.7v and charge voltage is around 14.7v
Now that you replaced the Viper have you checked what voltages you have on the capacitors...

Re: Line filter question

As redwire mentioned above there exists medical rated version for inlet filters.
They omit the Y capacitors, for example I recently bought a Schaffner FN9222E-1-06 filter.
The medical version of...

Re: Line filter question

It is normal to have a small difference because there is no load on the earth wire.
There can also be different lengths of cables and some differences in resistance due to not great contacts...

Re: Post your worthless and/or pointless repairs

It is similar in Swedish.
It means full throttle or idle (speaking about a cars combustion engine).

Re: Seasonic dead after wrong SATA power cable

Ok, if you do not even have 5v standby working you will have to start from the beginning: measure the voltage on the big main filter capacitor.
It should be around 325v DC with 230v AC input.
If...

Re: Seasonic dead after wrong SATA power cable

Do you have any 5VSB on the 24pin molex connector?
If not have you checked the basics like the fuse?

Re: What damage can occur when a filter cap explodes?

The diodes can fail because of the extreme current draw of the capacitor.

Re: xbox 360 adapter - 240v to 110v

The CP019B seems to be a derivative of SCY99099B.
A datasheet does not exist that I could fine for either of them.
But if you Google for the second one you will get to a Russian forum where a user...

Re: xbox 360 adapter - 240v to 110v

Ok, you would need to do that test to verify that the unit does not have Active PFC but I'm pretty sure it does not.
The big transformer like component next to the primary capacitor is probably a...

Re: xbox 360 adapter - 240v to 110v

There is a control IC on the back of the board: U1, I can't read its markings though, so post a better picture of that.
Also measure the voltage on the primary bulk capacitor when running from your...

Re: Hp smps power suppy ps4321 help!!!!!!

It is a high frequency transformer, you can't ohm measure it.
You need to use a transformer tester like a ring test, can also be done with an Oscilloscope if you Google for it.
