Just a hint: try installing previous versions and watch the behavior. If problem persist then it's, most likely, win screwing around.

1. Download:
'LT**UXP_1300_WIN7.exe' (~12.5MB)
or
'LT**UXP_1300_WIN10.exe' (~12.6MB)

2. Install.

3. Check installed folders ...\Labt00l-**UXP, and ...\Labt00l-**XP

Install the version on the previous links, XP/Vista/7, only!
Use compatibility mode in w10 to install.

When you install you get 2 main folders: xyz-48UXP and xyz-48XP;
The 1st is for the USB programmer version, and the 2nd for the LPT programmer version;
The patch is only valid for the one on 2nd...

Yes. Back in version 10.x, a couple years ago, found 99 occurrences to generate a pseudorandom number, either calling ´msvcrt.time' or 'msvcrt.srand´.
Thought it was so funny that even took that...

If i recall it correctly the parallel software version wouldn't work with 64bits WinOS versions.

Yes, no speed advantage on USB connection.

IMO somewhere along the way you mixed 2 different scenarios thus falling in a dead end trap.

Used i guess... are you sure it was working?

In BIOS settings try changing the LPT port mode to EPP or ECP.
Also make sure LPT1 is set to port 0x378.
Make sure you're using a full EPP wired...

Yes it recognizes the programmer but stays in demo mode due to license.

Yes! It might not be in quantity but any device that became ordinary is not supported, e.g. NAND flash.
And for older common devices you really don’t need it.

Not only are the adapters very expensive as the software really sucks.
