Re: LG 50PA4500 Plasma Troubleshooting

It won't, the heatsink and hole spacing are different, replace IGBT with the same model, be caureful of fake parts.

Re: Schematic or datasheet for Plasma TV buffer chip

ST also has very useful datasheets, I had no luck finding any Panasonic or Renesas.

Re: LG 50PA4500 Plasma Troubleshooting

All plasma sustain boards use IGBTs, and they're the worst part about the repair, hard to find original parts, so if you run into a RJP63F3 or 30J127 compare it against an original, if the label has...

Re: Borderless TV screens (without bezel)

I know this won't help but..

What a god, this man had no internet acess and managed to remove a glued panel without destroying it.

In phones the procedure is either a very thin double sided...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

Doesn't look like it, the horizontal lines are the cables not properly inserted or the buffer boards being damaged, the bad image is from the Y-SUS, something is damaged.
There's a single vertical...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

That's it, shorting the AUTO_GEN pads on the logic board with the LVDS cable disconnected, the TV will start on with a black screen the jump between colors and patterns each 2 seconds or so.

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

When a plasma panel is shattered while running it shorts internally and sometimes kill the buffers, y-sus and/or z-sus, also if it is powered on while the screen is broken.

That said, always test...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

The exact same image? but buffers not shorted this time? have you tested them before installing?

Re: Plasma Panasonic TC-P42C2

Yes, that will require magnifying lens, hot air and patience, you have to compare the two boards side by side and check every component, some of them are different.

Or you can look at this .pdf,...

Re: Plasma Panasonic

Wrong variant of the board? If your original board was for example TNPA5066AB and you replaced with AC the voltages are tuned differently and will change how the plasma panel operates, causing these...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

There are some buffer chips on the Y-SUS that bridges the signal from logic board to the Y-buffers, very rarely they fail, but let's focus on the buffer boards first.

If the IC is getting abormaly...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

By ribbon it means the cables that goes from Y-SUS to buffer and top to bottom boads, or the panel contacts?
Edit: a quick search reveals that it's those small cables, they do not look properly fit...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

You still did not test the buffers with the multimeter.

Put all 12 screws, there's no going wrong with that.

Looking at that latest photo, first try a buffer board swap, then if it still has...

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

Test the buffers before anything else like I've sugested.
The panel is fine, it's very resilient to damage.

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

Look at the metal interposer between the Y-SUS and buffers, one of them is the floating ground, it needs to have all the screws in and tight, they're missing everywhere, that will lead to sparks,...

Please provide pictures of these vertical lines.

Yeah jumping to a panel failure diagnose that quick was wrong, it was because you said that you tried multiple boards, but you can test them.

Re: TV Plasma LG 60PN5000 ZSUS 15v missing

If memory serves correct the 15V on LG plasmas is almost always close to 17V, so 17.8 is a small offset from the norm, no need to worry if nothing is overheating and the picture is fine. Is D603 at...

Re: 42LM670TZA , picture freezing , then powers off , or hanging on LG logo .

All signs point to BGA, I have one of these boards from a 42LM6400, after reflowing the main chip it lasted for 2 years, then further reflow attempts failed to make the TV last even 1 minute powered...

Re: LG 50PA4500 Plasma Troubleshooting

That Y-SUS is totally blackened by heating, check it and Z-SUS for cold soldering joints.

Disconnect the main board from the PSU, then the TV will auto-start when you plug in AC cable, that way...

Re: TV Plasma LG 60PN5000 ZSUS 15v missing

Further inspection on y-sus is required, test every IGBT and gate drivers for shorts, big resistors (those green ones) cannot be open.
The inductors on Z and Y buzz when working, but it's at a low...

Re: Panasonic TC-P65ST50 plasma in protection mode after incident

Ah correct, the resistor is connected to the Source not the Drain.

It would only go open if the mosfet also blew, since only the driver had problems, you can try to do an association with parallel...

Re: TV Plasma LG 60PN5000 ZSUS 15v missing

15V is produced by Y-SUS, so follow the traces on that 15V pin and see where it leads.
Never power up a plasma with loosened or missing screws on any sustain boards.
