did the new drive have any smart errors?

SMART is never really too dependable. Sometimes drives will die without it even giving you an alarm. Sometimes it will alarm when nothing is wrong

It's your monitor going into sleep mode, it says that when the data signal cuts. Problem is, why is the signal cutting.

does it go to sleep when you're actively using the mouse/keyboard?

ok, i've never dealt with fets or voltage controllers before. Is pin 1 the one with the square on the silkscreen?

by 1/4/5 do you mean 1&4, 1&5? 4&5?

401 and 402 are coils i've already tested
...

the ones next to the fets? and what looks like diodes? They all read 0 (with adapter plugged in)

all diodes read 0 except one away from the group around the fets

but pretty much any AM2/AM2+ CPU supports non-registered 4gb sticks cause it has 11 column address bits instead of the usual 10 (bios support varies)

plug a separate monitor in the IGP while it's on. If it outputs to the monitor, then the IGP is still enabled. might not be able to fully turn it off. Maybe there is a multi-monitor option that needs...

it might actually be a sucky bios that still allocates 128M for video

or check your cmos to init on PCI-E and not IGP. Or see if it still is using the IGP in combination with the GPU for some...

awww you edited my title. hah, yeah I get it

as I said I opened it. took ffc's off one by one (incl screen). did he UEFI and cmos clear.

at first the power came on but no screen. Had to keep...

aside from testing the fuse (which was fine), I don't have much experience with board-level repair of laptop boards, especially ones of this miniature build.

My Lenovo 6 16 just DIED before I had to show a customer of mine a program for him. First no screen, then no power.

Already did a cmos reset button for 30 secs while ac/batter disconnected,...

I think a lot of this has been mitigated by better management systems built into firmware (mind you generally not cheaper brands). That does even writes across the logical flash
