Laserjet Pro 200 color MFP M276- $15. Needs cyan toner, but otherwise seems to run.

And darn, I just bought toner and caps to fix my other big laser all in one...

Re: Laser All-in-one Suggestions

All of that is toner dust, not charring. That's the power supply for the fuser.

Re: Reliable manageble poe switch

In the US (unlike the UK and possibly the rest of Europe?) we use the RJ11/Rj12 standard for phone connections. They will fit in an RJ45, and IIRC that's why on 10/100 the middle contacts aren't used...

Well... I fixed the 1600n.

Decided to pop the back of it open... and low and behold, something's missing:

Edit- they are doing that today!. Store-wide earth day sale... Hmm... Sure. Mine. Deal. :D

Re: Workstation Pocket Rocket: Another Ratdude Project?

It's on hold... the most they can do for me (not posting that, PM me if you really want to know) is more than I want to spend after blowing $50 on CPUs and cases this week. (plus another $30 or so at...

Workstation Pocket Rocket: Another Ratdude Project?

Going off of Topcat's Dell 1100 sleeper builds (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66256), and after finding a Supermicro uATX case for cheap (https://www.ebay.com/itm/273151081681), now...

Re: Paxville or Bust! The Supermicro X6DA8 Project

^Got benchmarks?

Just curious, I'd like to see what the paxvilles can do compared to my 3.8 Irwindales.

Oh what the hell, I found them for $10 a pop shipped. I'll take that to my thread... :D

Re: Paxville or Bust! The Supermicro X6DA8 Project

^That's what I have, fan swapped (PWM) Solid intel heatsinks. Maybe I need to buy a set on ebay to try out in V4.1?

Re: Paxville or Bust! The Supermicro X6DA8 Project

^I'll be curious to see if it's stable with both CPUs running (and reported in windows). If so, I might see about grabbing a pair for my setup, assuming my cooling is up to par. My concern is that...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

^We shall see. The 3.8's are indeed not expensive; I can't remember how much I paid for mine, but it was at or under $30 for the pair. You will not be let down. Just be sure it's not the "e" model,...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

If you received the board I think you did, an X5DAL, (Topcat told me about it before you knew :D), as long as you have decent coolers with decent fans (which anything socket 604 is going to be),...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

My understanding was that the DAI and DA3 were specifically released to support paxville. Otherwise, the DAI wouldn't exist... as aside from Paxville support, it's the same damn thing as the DAE (of...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

The X6DA8-G2 can only run Nocona's and Irwindales. No Paxville. CPU wise it's maxed out. What you're looking for is the X6DA3-G2, which has onboard SAS (SCSI was discontinued at that point).

I...

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

My X6DA8-G2 runs windows 7 like a champ (posting from it actually). Then again, it's running twin 3.8GHz Irwindales (HT enabled) with 16GB of DDR2 and a 9800GT EE GPU, so no, not a fair comparison....

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1

^Funny, My X5DAL's aren't that slow... then again, they have twin 3.2GHz Xeon Gallatins, 8GB of RAM, and the nicest AGP cards I can get my hands on.
