Re: How hot is too hot for an HDTV power supply thermistor

It could be a ntc 5D-15 with a temperature range of -55c ~+200 c. It will get HOT. If the thermistor was bad it would have burnt up and gone open. It is working fine.

Re: Onn Tv made for Walmart

Are you sure the ic is bad and not bad led's in the panel? Try using some alcohol to clean the top of the ic. you should be able to read the number.

Re: Samsung Soundbar No Power

How are you getting 390 volts on the main caps? I don't see a pfc circuit and the caps seem to be straight off the bridge rectifier, so it should be around 160vdc
The ic needs a VCC voltage, this...

Re: Onn Tv made for Walmart

You need to attach some clear, in focus pictures of the board, it is likely used in other makes/models.

The panel setup information may not be in the service manual but could be in one of the training manuals with a similar panel. Here is one for the 50PG20 (Page 57)

Re: fixed but got grainy/noise picture on my plasma now -LG 50PA6500

There is nothing wrong with upping the VS a few volts, The LG tech even recommended it when these were a couple years old. The panel will change over time. It is also possible there is a control...
