Aluminum type is better for heat transfer and can be found pretty much in all of newer TV's
The copper in original is thin layer, the rest is FR4 which is not good heat conductor.
Still aluminum...

I can speculate that 10k is reducing inrush current. Otherwise the current spike is large enough and is detected as fault.
Did you measure VGH on other side of 10k resistor? Is it stable?

I also couldn't get any decent result with tape, only hop plugging one of LCD cables results in good image.

Unplug connector between power and main board, then power in on. Backlight should turn on if good.
Another way to test LED's is LED tester.

There are 2 sets of strips connected in series. If one of them is open, the second one will flash.
These LEDs and lenses are wearing out badly, installing new strips is a way to go.

As you have original datasheet, you can search for replacement by key parameters.
Digikey has a good engine.
Or search the sites of MOSFET manufacturers: STmicro, IRF, Infineon, Onsemi

Looks like panel issue, you can try scotch tape on the jumper cable between panel boards.

Main and T-con are not matching each other for some reason. Could be corrupted setting or some hardware problem. Search google or this forum for service menu, there are few combinations for RCAs.

Those ESD protectors are mostly useful for external connectors like HDMI, USB.
I would just leave it alone.
Better invest in surge protector for mains and antenna (if used).

This is doable, you need to get LED tester, then compare original and target LED for voltage, current and color.
Another check is for LED size and footprint.
Also often worn out LED's are blueish...

No picture with cable between sides disconnected, but TV stays on.
Anyways I got image to show up with scotch tape, however the brightness on bad side goes up and down every second or so.
