Re: Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on

Ok I ordered a "new" mainboard. The first board that arrived wasn't working at all and the replacement board did work for 10 minutes.
It did freeze every two minutes with the sound starting to loop,...

Re: Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on

It's even sadder because it appears to be one of the few Tv's of the D-series that doesn't have bonding problems.

Re: SHARP LC-40LE814E turns off after 20min

The detailed error code is a 2-5.

Directly after switching the power switch on:
PNL12V: 12. 93V
PNL-POW: 0.12V

After around 8 seconds (assuming the TV is trying to start):
PNL12V: 7V...

Re: SHARP LC-40LE814E turns off after 20min

Hi again!

I'm back with the same TV. This time it doesn't turn on at all and is just blinking two times.
I checked the voltages on the PD connector in the first seconds after hitting the power...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Hey guys,

I've got a small update for you:
I just bought a new PSU (BN44-00473B instead of "A"). The PSU appears to be working fine but the TV is still completely dead.
I checked all voltages...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Okay, I surrender.

I couldn't find the fault the last time and i couldn't find it this time even with your help.

Now by accidentally shorting Lvcc and Hvcc of ICM801 I probably killed it and...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Yes it turns the backlight on, but it turns of instantly again in an endless loop.

Is there any way to check the mainboard? Could it be really shorted or just a bad solder joint on the cpu? How...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Sadly I don't have these in stock, but I can order some.
Do they need to be any Low ESR type or something?
How will CS805 influence it?

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

So I bought a new ICM801 and replaced it.
A5V is unstable and the clicking noise is still there.

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Lifted ICM801 Pin7-LVCC, reconnected collector of QM801 and removed 100 ohm resistor between BL-ON and GND. A5V still stable at 5.26V

I guess I have to order a new FSFR1700XSL now, right?

What...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

I get 14.6 DCV on the collector.
Main cap is charged to 392 VDC.

It wouldn't be the first time that such an IC failed. Is there anything more to check to determine if it's the ICM801 or the caps...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

I disconnected the collector of QM801 (E and B still connected) and removed the 100 ohms resistor between PS-ON and GND. Resistor between BL-ON and GND stays.

A5V still stable at 5.26V.

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Collector of QM801 to P-GND shows 3.46 kOhms in one way and 9.91 kOhms the other way.

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Ok, so this IC is good, right?

With 100 Ohms between PS-ON and GND A5V is stable at 5.26V. With 100 Ohms between BL-ON and GND A5V is still stable at 5.26V.

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

I currently don't have an ESR meter. Heating these caps didn't change anything.

I couldn't find a CP804. In the schematic it says CP804 is "N.C.". I measured the resistance between PFC-VCC and...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

GND-A5V -> Around 7 MOhm, but dropping while measuring.

I did find the schematic online: BN44-00473A schematic (http://www.electronica-pt.com/esquema/func-startdown/29726/)

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000

Hi there,

I ended up buying a new mainboard for 25, which solved the problem in combination with the new power supply.

Anyways one year later I have the same TV with the same problem again....
