In Win is using Teapo now

I check every once in a while at all the Power Man PSU's that come in, and this batch has 100% Teapo! Has In Win ended their love affair with OST?
The model number is IP-S450CQ2-0 G

This is the first time I've seen Teapo in an In Win. They're almost exclusively OST, and I on rare occasion will spot a Samxon in there.

This is good news! What series do they use?

They're SC series. I don't know about you, but I think OST are better than Teapo.

Very good! SC is low esr series! I've seen Teapo SEK (general purpose caps) in Thermaltake psus not bulging after years of use. Depending on the design of In Win power supplies they could last for years.

True, In Win does design good PSU's. I guess we'll have to see. I've recapped some that lasted 8 years of use, for a total of about 25,000-40,000 hours of running time and all of the OST tested good.

This may be true of 8mm Teapos and smaller. But keep in mind that OST often fail without bloating so it's hard to make the discrepancy sometimes... and OST have been documented to have failed (bulged) on the shelf by a few members here, the same way KZGs do. What series were the OSTs that lasted 25,000-40,000 hours?

This isn't the first time In Win have used Teapo. The IP-S400GQ3-2 uses them exclusively. As for the OST vs Teapo argument, I'm with P4 on this one. I've had far fewer failures with OST caps than I have with Teapo.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

I believe they were RLP, but I'll have to check tomorrow.

                Same, especially in PSU's.
