Sounds like an average socket-A era ECS... My Biostar M7VIG 400 has the same lovely selection of caps, I'm watching that one. It's not a crucial machine fortunately.
You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

        My condolances

I usually bite my tongue (so as not to be rude) when people tell me how much they like ECS/Biostar products and can't recommend them enough

Well, at lwast ECS boards are a bargain. I used the SIS K7 series in alot of systems, and they last long enough as usuall office sys.

Hey, I have and ECS board! I got it for 16.99 shipped from newegg as an open box.

I'm still waiting for the OST on the vrm out to blow.

The board I got was a newegg refurb w/ the board, driver CD, and original box.
The board was $20. I had a 3.0GHz P4 Northwood laying around dormant (in a dead Dell Dimension 4600) and decided I wanted to make use of that CPU. But with inevitable de-cap-itation of the board's capacitors (about a year or so), I plan on this to be a short term upgrade for my mom's aging Athlon 1.10GHz w/ an FIC AZ11 board until I can safely afford a reasonable Socket 939 board to put in there along with an Athlon 64 3200+.

So, I guess if you HAD to get a Biostar, the only good choice would be from the TForce series.

Hey... I can't argue with those prices

I guess I'm just not an ECS/Biostar/PCChips fan, I was sadly disappointed with an Asus X (value series) motherboard as well

                    waaaa...
I also own a Biostar (REDFOX) motherboard. I got six M7VIG 400 & two K8M600-M7A. Its been almost two years now running 8-10 hrs daily. And I'm watching those caps!
